This intership of 3 full days This 3 full days internship is for Trailers looking for authenticity, who want to work on their physical volume and endurance. Over the days and the magnificent landscapes of the Algarve, you will discover surprising sites, on routes that are sparsely frequented and preserved. You will be surprised to see what the hinterland of southern Portugal can offer you!
Nous effectuerons ensemble au total pas loin de 100 km et 4225 m de dénivelé positif sur des terrains aussi variés que possible. Nous aborderons également les notions qui vous importent avec des conseils avisés (bâtons, nutrition, gestions de l’effort etc.).
We will not forget, of course, to taste the Portuguese culinary specialties that will allow us to take maximum strength before each day of Trail.
And why not extend the fun with a 4th day (optional) for an active recovery on one of the most beautiful sites of the Algarve, the route of the 7 hanging valleys.
Transport will be provided daily by minibus from the hotel. Logistical assistance will be provided so that you can take full advantage of your internship !

day by day
Day 1 : Warm-up Silves / Monchique
Approximately 32 km, 1550D+
Morning : Appointment at the Hotel. Presentation of your animators for the stay. Briefing on the internship.
Silves, medieval city, marks the beginning of our journey. We will go by paths to the Serra de Monchique.
After several climbs and descents, the path reaches l’Odelouca, le cours d’eau le plus important de la région.
We will continue until the summit of Picota (774 m) pour un des plus beaux panoramas d’Algarve avec une vue à 360°. Vous serez séduit par la beauté de cet endroit et arriverez sans vous en rendre compte, à Monchique, terme de cette étape.
Return to the hotel at the end of the day.
Dîner au restaurant à Olhão
Day 2 : Technical approach. Vaqueiros / Barranco do Velho
Approximately 45 km, 1830 D+
After crossing the village of Vaqueiros, the route will lead us to landscapes dominated by vast stretches of cistus. Steep and rich in views course, on this part, you will cross several small and pretty hamlets.
We’ll run miles on the Serra do Caldeirão et ce sera pour nous l’occasion de traverser tous types de terrains, exigeants, tortueux et accidentés ponctués de points d’intérêt.
Barranco do Velho will mark the end of our journey.
Return to Olhão at the end of the day
Dinner in Olhão
Jour 3 : Assimilation. Parizes
Approximately 20 km, 845 D+
Parises will be the start of this final stage. On paper, it seems easy, and yet… This outing is ideal for working on the race economy. The climbs are not very technical but sometimes endless !
We stop, we raise our heads and it is incredible panoramic views. We almost forget that we are in the Algarve! You will be seduced by the beauty of the place! Depending on the season, you should not be afraid to get your feet wet! We will reach the starting point to enjoy a well-deserved snack !
Return to Olhão at the end of the day
Debrief over a glass of friendship and end of the internship.

Day 4 optional : Active recovery / The 7 Hanging Valleys
Approximately 8 km, 200 D+
Change of atmosphere and decor with this unmissable route that connects two magnificent beaches : Praia do Vale de Centeanes et Praia de Marinha.
We will leave the hotel early in the morning to hike this route with a variety of terrain and breathtaking views.
This route runs along vertiginous cliffs and chasms dug by the ocean. It takes about 4 hours round trip, but we warn you, this is an approximate duration as you will want to stop you at each turn.
Return to Olhão in the early afternoon.
