Description
Sentier pédestre incontournable lorsqu’on visite l’Algarve, le parcours des 7 vallées suspendues suit le littoral à flanc de falaise et offre à chaque virage des vues à couper le souffle.
Nous débuterons notre promenade à Vale de Centeanes, situé dans la paroisse de Carvoeiro. L’itinéraire traverse une nature couverte de végétation luxuriante d’où l’on peut admirer la vue sur l’océan.
Nous poursuivrons en suivant le sentier qui permet de découvrir des falaises majestueuses rongées depuis des siècles par l’érosion, des gouffres vertigineux tel que le gouffre de Benagil, des plages de sable doré, la mer bleue qui s’étend en toile de fond, des oiseaux marins et pourquoi pas avec un peu de chance voir passer au large les dauphins.
Vous effectuerez cette randonnée à un rythme doux, pour ne rien rater de ces panoramas fascinants et grandioses… vous aurez du mal à résister à la tentation de photographier toute cette beauté naturelle.
Arrivée à la Praia da Marinha considérée comme l’une des 100 plus belles plages du monde, nous prendrons le temps de déguster quelques spécialités portugaises.

The Seven Valleys walk is easily accessible by anyone to do on their own, but the great thing about going with Sandra and Nuno is that we got to do the whole walk – with really good explanations – and didn’t have to return to our start point. Sandra dropped us off in Carvoeiro, and Nuno guided us through the cliffs and beaches, which were absolutely spectacular. Then at the end, Sandra met us with cold drinks and a surprise picnic of local Algarve delicacies!!! They couldn’t have been nicer, and we absolutely loved our day with them.

5 stars is not enough! Cannot recommend this trip more. Both Sandra and Nuno were perfect hosts. The effort they put in to make it extra special was incredible; we felt so welcome. The hike is fairly long but easy enough for most to do, and Nuno made sure to make us feel like we weren’t rushed. As much as he says otherwise, his english is fantastic and his knowledge and stories made the adventure even better. Absolutely stunning views, and the early start means a lot of it is done before it gets too hot. We had high expectations going in because of all the fantastic reviews however we were still blown out the water by how good it was.

Nuno et Sandra s’occupe de tout, ils viennent vous cherchez à votre hôtel, vous font vivre des super moments et vous ramène le soir à votre hôtel, c’est simple vous ne vous occupez de rien, ils gèrent pour vous et vous profitez à fond.Nuno nous a montré des lieux incroyable lors de la la randonnée des sept vallée suspendues, tout en faisant attention à la sécurité et en prenant de très belles photos (qu’il vous envoie ensuite) avec une ambiance au top. Sandra vous recupere à la fin du parcours avec un super apéro bien copieux, de la citronnade maison, de l’eau fraîche et une dégustation surprise d’un produit régional. We booked online and were picked up on time in Olhao, directly across the road from Real Marina hotel. A drive to pick up another hiker and we were ready to start our hike. Good shoes/runners are required, sun cream is recommended and some water / cold drinks, with maybe a bar of chocolate or a piece of fruit will be helpful.
Almost immediately, we were presented with breathtaking views. During the hike there were some slopes which were challenging but our guide took all the different abilities into account and we never felt under pressure to keep up. The fantastic views on this “off the beaten track” in the Algarve were out of this world. We had lots of time to take photographs and our guide (Nuno) was very informative, interesting and answered any questions we had.
There are some lovely picnic areas if you wanted to stop half way for a spot of lunch. Our hike included numerous cliff tops and visits to beaches, over a total distance of about 9km. At the end, you will be tired but you will be so happy to have completed the hike and satisfied to have seen parts of the Algarve that most people sadly never see in their holiday here.

Sandra and Nuno were so welcoming. They were very accommodating and when we couldn’t arrange transport they very readily volunteered to collect us and drop us directly from our villa. The hike was in a perfect pace, take lots of water as it’s a full day of walking but with lots of amazing views to enjoy and stops whenever needed. A perfect way to explore the Algarve. Would definitely recommend!

Si vous passez en Algarve, n’hésitez pas à contacter NB Evasion qui propose de superbes randos (et autres). Nino, notre guide, s’adapte à notre rythme, nous donne des explications tout au long de la marche (pas comme d’autres sociétés). Des petits groupes à taille humaine (qui permet une interaction entre nous)… Cerise sur le gâteau, Sandra nous accueille à l’arrivée avec une dégustation de produits locaux (charcuterie, fromage, liqueur de…. I felt very lucky as I was the only person booked for it. It surprised me that they didn’t cancel.
Nuno was the guide, while Sandra would meet us at the other end.
Nuno’s knowledge and enthusiasm was contagious. He was patient while I took pictures and if I wanted to take a break it was not a problem. I never felt rushed as he matched his pace to mine.
I won’t tell but there was a surprise at the end……

“I love to hike with beautiful views and this exceeded my expectations. I was so excited to learn that the 7 Hanging Valleys is a must in Portugal so I told my friends and they were excited to do it. The hike is a trek, but the guide stops a lot to explain the different landmarks. The view is gorgeous! You will have plenty of photo ops with the beautiful view throughout the walk. We had such a great time, would hike this again, just be cautious on the weather. We went on a day that was superrrr hot and humid and even still we had a blast! You even end the day with local Portuguese food and drinks! 😁”
